Fabulous Find Friday

July 24, 2009

I received these body sprays and scrubs from on of my BFF’s and I just love them!  The rain fragrance is great - so sweet and clean.  And, the body scrub if my fav because unlike a lot of scrubs that can contain salt, this is a sugar scrub.  And, for all you girls who have used a salt scrub on freshly shaven legs, you know what I am talking about! :D  Give them a try, I don’t think you will regret it!  If you are local stop by Material Girl Boutique located inside Roxy Salon and Spa on Broad Street in Monroe.  If you have any questions, please contact (678-735-8676)  Kristy Peters of Material Girl Boutique and she can help you out!  Be sure and check out her other products as well - she has a fabulous eye for all things beautiful!  And, if you aren’t local, check out Ozark Herbals website to order.

The title says it all!  Sassy Miss S is such a doll, as are her brother and sister.  More to come…

Love the fun colors!  All of these clothes come from Hanna Anderson.  If you’ve never looked around on their website or catalog, you are missing out on some fabulous designs!  Their clothes are fun, comfortable and well-made.  You can’t help but smile when you look at them!  When it comes to your portraits, don’t be afraid to mix and match.  Notice the long sleeves with the cropped pants along with a girl’s sleeveless dress and handkerchief for her hair.  Textures and layers are such a great aspect of photography.

*Oh, I forgot to add - if you bring your child to our session dressed in one of these outfits, you will receive your choice of a complementary gift print! How cool is that?

Ok, here’s the deal - I am always scouting new places to shoot.  If you have a place I can use (as in, I can come and go as I please ;) ), and it is appropriate for what I am looking for, I will photograph your child (no sitting fee) there and you will receive a complementary 11×14 wall portrait.  Please keep in mind that this will be in exchange for exclusive rights to shoot other sessions there!  Please email me with your ideas and we will see if we can’t make a deal!

Look at the color of this beautiful baby’s hair!  Could she get any cuter?  I don’t think so!  Her beautiful mama brought her all the way from the neighboring Carolinas for our session.  I think this is probably my favorite age to photograph - so carefree and unaware.  Here’s your sneak peek of Little Miss R!

What to Wear Wednesday

Two weeks in a row, must be a record!

All these clothes come from Janie and Jack.  And, yes, for the little boy, a shirt is not necessary.  Most little boys I know, mine included, love to run around without their shirts on, and what could epitomize childhood more?  Also, for small girls shirts are optional as well.  There is a certain innocence that comes with a small child’s bare skin, and that is exactly what I want to capture for you.

Here are a few from our recent trip.  Ahh, it makes me long for the beach again!  You know… sand in your bathing suit, suntan lotion in your eyes, sunburn and a good book!  ; )  I just love my guys!

I hope to be able to do these every once in while.  So many people ask me what should their child should wear and it often helps to have visuals.  It’s fun to get creative and the internet is the perfect place to do just that!  Whether you like to shop at online retailers or small boutiques, there are looks out there for everyone!  All these clothes came from Crazy8 and are available now.  If you have links you would like to share, please send them to me and maybe I can pass them along too!
