With the change of the seasons, it has me thinking about all the beautiful colors that fall brings.  These outfits today show exactly how you can incorporate beautiful rich fall-like colors that will carry you right into the Christmas season, without being too over the top.  While Christmas or holiday portraits certainly have their place, I don’t believe you will want portraits of the little ones on your walls year-round with their Santa attire on!  Think about the timelessness your portraits will represent and how you want to invest your money.

But, don’t you worry, my kids will be sitting on Santa’s lap in just a few short weeks!!

I had the wonderful privilege to work with one of the sweetest families recently.  I think this has to be the most well-behaved toddler I have ever been around!  He was absolutely amazing.  And, his sweet Mom, Aunt and Grandmother were so wonderful and laid back.  This certainly adds to the child’s comfort level and is reveled in his portraits.

Can you believe his eyes and his lashes?  I have to pay for for good mascara to do that!!

Ok, seriously, could I be a worse blogger?  What a wonderful summer we have had - incredibly busy and full of fun!  So many great sessions and so much to catch up on.  I will start off with a few recent sessions of some of my friend’s beautiful children.  And, I know I may be partial because they are friends, but they really are just beautiful children, don’t you think?

I love this line of clothing that Kitsel carries!  Look at the deep, rich colors juxtaposed with the fun appliques on the clothing.  I would love to shoot this session with a big basket of fresh strawberries in fresh, green summer grass.

Fun, summer colors! I think we as parents often panic at the thought of what to dress our little ones in when it comes to portrait time. And, if you are anything like me, you have probably waited until the last minute to find something. So, I wanted to show you how you can throw together some really cute, kid-friendly outfits no matter where you are. The outfits below all came from Target. I love, love, love Target - just ask my husband! ; )

I have a confession, or rather it’s my little guy’s confession, this gorgeous little girl is his first crush!  Don’t you think he has wonderful taste?  If you know my little guy, you know how rough & tough he is, so for him to come home from preschool talking about the little girl with the pretty smile, we were blown away!  I didn’t even realize he knew there was an opposite sex, but, alas, he has fallen for beautiful Miss M!  As he saw me proofing these, he brought me a photo album with a few blank pages and wanted to know if we could print some of these out?  How funny is that?  And, in the next breath, he runs out the door to save the world with the stick he just found…

If you wore this, I think I would just kiss you!  Look how adorable that baby bubble outfit is.  I might not be able to take pictures because I would be too busy cuddling your precious baby!

Ok, I did it again!  I must be obsessed.  I didn’t intend on doing two Zulily posts in two weeks, but as soon as this came through my inbox this week, I knew I had no choice!  Look at the beautiful lines and colors on these pieces.  I love the classic lines of the coat, paired with updated fabrics and colors.  The details are wonderful!  These colors would look great in spring pictures.
